Fuji Infinity International Preschool hosted a delightful Matcha Making Session for parents at Greenr Café, Sector 58, IREO Mall, offering a unique blend of cultural immersion and community engagement. While parents participated in the session, the children were joyfully engaged by the educators in creative play using playdough. The event began with a Kamishibai Matcha Presentation by the senior cultural trainer- Kanako Sensei, who shared the history of Matcha through Kamishibai boards, a traditional Japanese storytelling art form. This was followed by a demonstration of the traditional Matcha Tea Ceremony, where parents learned the correct method of preparing matcha, participated hands-on, and sampled their freshly made tea. Though matcha has a naturally bitter taste, most parents enjoyed the experience, complemented by O’rice crackers that added a touch of sweetness. Meanwhile, the children tried their hand at making “Wagashi” out of playdough-traditional Japanese sweets typically enjoyed alongside matcha during a tea ceremony. The session also provided parents an opportunity to interact with the Fuji Infinity team, who patiently answered questions about the school, making the event both enriching and engaging for families.
